SP5 Lowell Ogletree was a crew chief in the Heavy Weapons Section of the Gun Platoon - 1967.
He and his son Duane attended the Centaur Vet's Reunion in Panama City Beach Nov 2023.
Doug Olsen: Ogletree was a crew chief in the Hvy Scouts. He and Lange disagreed with Norm Clark and me on the amount of oil for the M60's. They were for squeezing in as much LSA as you could. Norm and I preferred a lighter coating which minimized dirt sticking to a clean gun. When you fired it did not throw oil into the interior of the ship and coat your pant leg!
